Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Odchigin Khadan (ranked 812 p4p, 105 weight class) and Kaz McStafferson (ranked 1903 p4p, 214 weight class). Khadan comes to the cage accompanied by Khoomii. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Odchigin Khadan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kaz McStafferson! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khadan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McStafferson. McStafferson fails with the takedown. A telegraphed takedown attempt from McStafferson is defended easily by Khadan. Odchigin Khadan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaz McStafferson. Khadan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've been informed that McStafferson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Khadan misses with a double jab.
Khadan drives through with a takedown into guard. Khadan wants to control from the top but McStafferson keeps moving. Khadan has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. McStafferson looking for a guillotine here but Khadan defends easily.
Khadan distracts McStafferson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Khadan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khadan wants to control from the top but McStafferson keeps moving. Khadan advances position into side control!

Khadan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. McStafferson is looking for a sweep. Khadan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McStafferson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. McStafferson is not content to let Khadan control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. McStafferson tries to bench press Khadan off him but Khadan keeps the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. McStafferson wants to control but Khadan postures up. McStafferson stops Khadan from passing to mount. Khadan wants to control but McStafferson is keeping him busy. Khadan tries to advance position but instead McStafferson slips a leg back in to half guard. McStafferson moves into full guard.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Khadan trying to control but McStafferson is working from the bottom. Khadan got a little sloppy there for a moment and McStafferson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Khadan has managed to get both his arms back between McStafferson's legs - danger averted. McStafferson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Khadan advances position into side control! Khadan tries to move to mount but McStafferson blocks the move with his legs. McStafferson gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khadan is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But McStafferson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from McStafferson! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McStafferson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Khadan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McStafferson has managed to get both his arms back between Khadan's legs - danger averted. Khadan looking for a sweep. Not yet Khadan, not yet. McStafferson trying to control the position from guard on top but Khadan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Khadan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McStafferson defends it easily. McStafferson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khadan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McStafferson stopping the sweep attempt from Khadan. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McStafferson shoots for a double leg takedown but Khadan sprawls well. He's pushed McStafferson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Khadan tests McStafferson's chin there with a solid looking shot. McStafferson dives in and grabs Khadan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Khadan pushes down on McStafferson's head and hops out. McStafferson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Khadan as he avoids it easily. Odchigin Khadan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaz McStafferson. A lazy left from Khadan finds it's target. Khadan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McStafferson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Khadan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McStafferson. A big right from Khadan misses. McStafferson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Khadan scores with a jab. Left hook, right uppercut from McStafferson. McStafferson shoots for a double leg takedown but Khadan sprawls well. He's pushed McStafferson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Khadan stuffs the takedown attempt from McStafferson. McStafferson gets slowly back to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McStafferson shoots in looking for a takedown but Khadan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McStafferson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Khadan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McStafferson can do to turn this around? McStafferson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McStafferson lands in his opponent's guard. McStafferson wants to pass the guard but Khadan is keeping the position. Odchigin Khadan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Khadan is on top in guard.
Khadan advances to half guard. McStafferson wants to get back to full guard. McStafferson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Khadan pulls his head out easily. McStafferson is staying active underneath Khadan, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Khadan is controlling the pace.
Khadan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McStafferson's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khadan wants to pass to mount but McStafferson is defending the position. McStafferson actively working from the bottom here. Khadan wants to take a breather but McStafferson is having none of it. Khadan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Khadan is trying to work for a kimura but McStafferson is defending well.

Khadan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Khadan moves into full mount! McStafferson won't be happy about that! Khadan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Khadan lands with a straight right. McStafferson didn't see that one coming. McStafferson goes for a double leg but Khadan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Khadan continues to drive forward. McStafferson throws a body punch but Khadan moves out of range. Khadan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McStafferson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khadan tries to avoid it but McStafferson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khadan to the ground. Khadan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nice body punch from Khadan. Khadan lands a right hook to the body.
McStafferson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Khadan is looking to take this fight into the clinch. McStafferson feints the counter takedown. McStafferson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. McStafferson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Khadan is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McStafferson misses with a series of wild punches.

And that's the end of the fight! Odchigin Khadan showed his dominance in that final round. Well Khadan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
