Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean O Sullivan (ranked 6657 p4p, 513 weight class) and James Bud (ranked 5861 p4p, 475 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean O Sullivan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Bud! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Sullivan misses with a double jab.
O Sullivan takes one on the button. Sean O Sullivan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. O Sullivan drops Bud with a nice combination! O Sullivan dives into Bud's guard, looking to finish!
Bud is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! O Sullivan wants to stand but Bud has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bud is still in real trouble! Can O Sullivan finish him? Bud is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bud seems to have recovered his senses. O Sullivan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. O Sullivan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
O Sullivan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bud. O Sullivan keeps the fight on the outside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from O Sullivan. Those never looked like landing. O Sullivan lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Bud sprawling to the canvas. O Sullivan follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Bud hang on? O Sullivan wants to stand up but Bud is controlling the position.
Bud gets back to full guard.
O Sullivan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Bud fails to land with a series of punches.
Bud has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice cross by Bud. Bud dodges the punch combination from O Sullivan.
O Sullivan misses with a wild combination.
O Sullivan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. O Sullivan lands a left and a right that sends Bud crashing to the canvas! O Sullivan dives into mount looking to finish! Bud is squirming around, avoiding O Sullivan's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bud bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Bud working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. O Sullivan is working an open guard so Bud takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. O Sullivan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bud moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bud tries to clinch but O Sullivan is having none of it. O Sullivan fails to land with a series of punches.
Bud is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Bud tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. O Sullivan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bud scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Bud slips a jab and a cross from O Sullivan.
Bud lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bud. O Sullivan looks to land a combination but Bud avoids it well. O Sullivan is breathing heavily. O Sullivan misses with a two punch combination.
O Sullivan gets tackled into the cage by Bud. Bud maintains the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bud breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
O Sullivan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bud counters with a crisp one two that drops O Sullivan! Bud thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves O Sullivan to his feet! O Sullivan is in big trouble!
O Sullivan is rocked! O Sullivan misses with a few strikes there.
Oh O Sullivan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! It's a brutal combination of punches from Bud! O Sullivan is backing up but he can't get away as Bud lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops O Sullivan and ends the fight. Great knockout.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). James Bud! The defeated Sean O Sullivan had this to say: 'Where's my gold medal? I was robbed!'.
