6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Peterson! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson connects with the punch. Yoshioka drives through and clinches with Peterson against the cage.
Peterson letting Yoshioka take a breather here. Yoshioka effectively controlling the action here. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Yoshioka for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Yoshioka trying to land knees to the body.

Yoshioka has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Yoshioka tests Peterson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Yoshioka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peterson is fending him off so far but Yoshioka persists. Nope, Peterson circles away and we're back to standing. Peterson gets tackled into the cage by Yoshioka. Yoshioka maintains the clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Peterson throwing strikes from guard but Yoshioka blocks nicely. Yoshioka had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Peterson defends it easily. That was a close round but Satoru Yoshioka did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Peterson.

Yoshioka manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for Peterson! Peterson tries to roll over - now Yoshioka is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and Peterson has to tap out! Great work there by Yoshioka!

Satoru Yoshioka was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
