The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aleksanyan throws a front kick aimed at Clarkson's knee but Clarkson avoids it well.
Clarkson appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Aleksanyan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Clarkson is trying to defend but Aleksanyan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Clarkson is looking to control Aleksanyan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Clarkson avoid being mounted?
Aleksanyan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Aleksanyan not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Aleksanyan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Clarkson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Aleksanyan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aleksanyan maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Clarkson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Aleksanyan has cracked it and Clarkson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Aleksanyan!
