PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dropkick Flexy (ranked 3157 p4p, 362 weight class) and Spurgu Nator (ranked 2515 p4p, 312 weight class). Flexy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Big Thing. Spurgu Nator told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Spurgu Nator!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flexy gets a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Nator.
A right hook to the body lands for Nator.
Flexy tries to pull guard but Nator won't allow it.
Flexy blocks an uppercut.
Nator leaning against his opponent.
Flexy tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nator's elbow.
Nator misses with the head strike.

Nator escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nator lands a nice shot that snaps Flexy's head back.
Flexy throws a leg kick but Nator moved away.
Nator circles away from the clinch attempt
and Nator counters with a series of strikes. Flexy will be more careful next time no doubt.
Flexy tries to clinch up.
Nator appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Flexy clinches up against the cage.
Nator tries to circle away but Flexy has him pinned against the cage.

Nator breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nator takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Nator misses with a hook from the clinch.
Flexy tries to pull guard but Nator holds him up against the cage and eventually Flexy drops back down to his feet.
Flexy definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Flexy is trying to pull guard but Nator has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dropkick Flexy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A short body shot lands from Nator as the two fighters clinch.

Flexy jumps into guard, dragging Nator to the mat.

Flexy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Flexy working for a triangle but Nator defends it easily.

Flexy pushes a forearm under Nator's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Nator is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
