Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Kenny Knight (ranked 4224 p4p, 428 weight class) and Carlos Silverio (ranked 5648 p4p, 480 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Silverio's choice of entrance music: Shiro Sagisu - Angel of Doom. This should be fireworks!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 4 losses; Kenny Knight! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 11 losses; Carlos Silverio! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Knight darts in and clinches Silverio up against the ropes. Silverio jumps into guard, dragging Knight to the mat.
Knight slips nicely into half guard. Silverio wants to get back to full guard. Knight wants to work for an arm triangle but Silverio is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Knight is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silverio is just riding it out for now. Knight eventually gives up the hold. Knight prevents Silverio from improving his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knight is working for a kimura but Silverio is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knight is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silverio doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Knight. Knight is pressing down on Silverio's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silverio is holding on for now. Silverio is not content to let Knight control the position. Silverio is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Silverio is pressing down on Knight's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Knight has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Silverio is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Knight is aware though and is defending well. Knight has gone for a leg lock! Silverio slips out almost immediately though and dives into Knight's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Knight (0) vs (2) Silverio Knight looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Silverio has picked Knight up and slammed him! Knight can't keep hold of the triangle and Silverio manages to pass to side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Knight (0) vs (5) Silverio Knight tries to bench press Silverio off him but Silverio keeps the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Knight is trying to control Silverio's posture but Silverio avoids it. Knight manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Silverio is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Knight is looking to get back to full guard here but Silverio has managed to pass to side control instead. Silverio is looking to take a break and control but Knight is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Knight is trying to work for a sweep but Silverio has mounted him! Score +2 for reaching mount: Knight (2) vs (12) Silverio Silverio is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Knight to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Knight shrugs it off. Knight keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Silverio looking to control but Knight is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Knight tries to improve his position but Silverio has taken his back! Silverio has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Knight tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Silverio pushes Knight away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
