Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rasul Dolaev (ranked 2801 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Loiseau (ranked 24733 p4p, 0 weight class). Loiseau has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Charles Loiseau has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Rasul Dolaev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Loiseau! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loiseau dives in and grabs Dolaev's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dolaev pushes down on Loiseau's head and hops out. Dolaev tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Loiseau manages to circle out of the way. Loiseau looks winded! Dolaev looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Dolaev ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Loiseau stuffs the takedown attempt from Dolaev. Dolaev gets slowly back to his feet. Dolaev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Loiseau pinned against the cage. Loiseau gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dolaev changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Loiseau looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Loiseau is looking to get back to his feet here but Dolaev is keeping cool and he's managed to take Loiseau's back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dolaev controls the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Loiseau has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Dolaev. Dolaev has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Dolaev working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Dolaev looking to break Loiseau's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Loiseau remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Dolaev will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Dolaev throwing wild punches that miss their target. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dolaev lands a shot to the body. Dolaev is riding his opponent, not letting Loiseau buck him off. Dolaev looking for the choke but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Loiseau covering up well and avoiding damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dolaev really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Loiseau.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Loiseau fending off the submission attempt from Dolaev. Dolaev looking for the RNC.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Good control from Dolaev. Loiseau preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Dolaev. Dolaev controls the action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dolaev lands a shot to the head. Good control from Dolaev. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dolaev misses with a takedown attempt - Loiseau sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. As Dolaev backs off Loiseau throws a huge counter combo but Dolaev manages to avoid it all. Dolaev leaves Loiseau with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Dolaev wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Loiseau ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dolaev moves away. Rasul Dolaev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dolaev fails to land the takedown. Dolaev closes the distance and pushes Loiseau back into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Loiseau is defending well against a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rasul Dolaev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dolaev slowing the pace effectively. Dolaev wants to get back to striking at distance but Loiseau won't allow it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dolaev looking for a guillotine here but Loiseau defends easily.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dolaev holds on and takes a little breather. Dolaev looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Dolaev manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Dolaev pulls guard successfully.
Dolaev on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dolaev tries to get out of the position. Dolaev controlling the position. Dolaev's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Loiseau loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Dolaev is pulling down on Loiseau's head. It's preventing any offense from Loiseau, at least for the moment. Dolaev has his foot on Loiseau's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Loiseau works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dolaev is looking for a triangle but Loiseau pushes his legs off easily.
Dolaev is controlling Loiseau's posture. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dolaev continues to stall.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Dolaev is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Loiseau can do to turn this around? Dolaev dives in and grabs Loiseau's left leg, looking for a takedown. Loiseau pushes down on Dolaev's head and hops out. Dolaev goes for a double leg but Loiseau avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Loiseau continues to drive forward. Dolaev shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Dolaev displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dolaev throws a head kick that misses. Loiseau is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Loiseau tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dolaev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Dolaev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Loiseau as he avoids it easily. Dolaev has taken the fight to the clinch.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Loiseau walks away with a smile on his face. Dolaev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dolaev pushes Loiseau off and scrambles back to his feet.
Dolaev throws a sloppy head kick and Loiseau moves out of range easily. Loiseau slaps away a takedown attempt from Dolaev, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dolaev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Loiseau, pushing him back against the cage. Dolaev is looking to take this one to the mat. Loiseau keeps control of Dolaev as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dolaev gets control of Loiseau's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dolaev will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Loiseau preventing the sweep. Dolaev managing to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Loiseau trying to control the position from guard on top but Dolaev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dolaev managing to control the position. Dolaev will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dolaev bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Loiseau's guard. Loiseau being controlled here, momentarily. Dolaev passes into half guard. Dolaev is thwarting Loiseau's attempts to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dolaev lands a nice short elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Rasul Dolaev showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dolaev has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
