The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Austin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Austin.
Jones appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Austin closes the distance and clinches.
Jones fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Austin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Austin just stands there and leans against the cage.

Austin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Austin is looking to break free of the clinch but Jones has double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Austin is trying to force a seperation but Jones has the dominant position.

Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Austin prevents it.

Austin tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the cage.
Jones is looking to control Austin's arms but Austin gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jones has his back to the cage.

Austin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Austin connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jones's hands.

Austin prevents Jones from breaking the clinch.

Austin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Jones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Austin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Austin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones takes one on the button.

Austin clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Austin is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Jones jumps guard but Austin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Jones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Jones is breathing heavily.

Austin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jones has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Austin finds it's way round the side to connect with Jones's head.
Austin misses with a straight right.
Jones tries to counter with a takedown but Austin is quick to defend against it.

Austin moves into the clinch successfully.

Austin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Austin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A telegraphed right hand from Austin misses the target.
Jones half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Austin moves into the clinch.

Austin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Austin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Austin moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Austin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Austin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones moves out of range as Austin strikes.
Austin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charlie Austin dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jones on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.


Jones is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!
Austin circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jones to the canvas! Jones doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Austin keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charlie Austin!
Charlie Austin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
