Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Gustavo (ranked 3619 p4p, 361 weight class) and Ko Dong Man (ranked 5700 p4p, 460 weight class). Ko Dong Man is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricky Gustavo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ko Dong Man! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gustavo misses with an attempted mid kick.
Gustavo checks a low kick from Dong Man. Gustavo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Gustavo shoots in for a takedown but Dong Man shows good takedown defense. Dong Man shapes to counter with a head kick. Dong Man thuds his shin into the meat of Gustavo's side. Ko Dong Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dong Man throws a leg kick and Gustavo counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Gustavo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dong Man tries to kick Gustavo off but Gustavo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Gustavo is working for a submission of some sort.
Dong Man scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Gustavo manages to mount him!
Gustavo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gustavo controlling his opponent. Dong Man's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Gustavo working for a guillotine from mount but Dong Man is in no mood to give up. Dong Man takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Dong Man wants to get back to his feet.
Gustavo has control of Dong Man's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dong Man regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Gustavo looking for a guillotine from mount but Dong Man is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gustavo working for a submission but Dong Man is keeping him at bay. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gustavo looking to isolate an arm here. Dong Man doesn't see it coming and as Gustavo extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Gustavo!
