Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Miguel Machin (ranked 2949 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bastard Kakikaza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machin comes to the cage accompanied by Pandora's Music Box. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 4 losses; Miguel Machin! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Bastard Kakikaza!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Kakikaza throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Machin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kakikaza is in Machin's guard.

Machin controlling the position.
Machin lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Machin (2) vs (2) Kakikaza

Machin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Machin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Machin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Machin forces his way into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kakikaza can do anything to dispel that myth.

Machin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kakikaza sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kakikaza wants to control but Machin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Machin works his way into side control.
Score +3 for passing guard: Machin (5) vs (2) Kakikaza

Machin is working to tighten his grip on Kakikaza's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kakikaza has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Machin is really squeezing tight and eventually Kakikaza passes out! Machin breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Miguel Machin!
In his post fight interview, Miguel Machin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
