Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Harry Hirsch (ranked 2222 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Whitaker (ranked 602 p4p, 85 weight class). Eric Whitaker is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Eric Whitaker!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Hirsch drives through and clinches with Whitaker against the cage.

Hirsch gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Whitaker keeping moving, preventing Hirsch from controlling successfully.
Whitaker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hirsch's guard.

Whitaker trying to control the position from guard on top but Hirsch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hirsch is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Whitaker is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whitaker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hirsch wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Whitaker manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hirsch's best efforts.

Hirsch is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Whitaker sees it coming and defends easily.
Hirsch seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Whitaker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We've been hearing good reports from Hirsch's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Whitaker prevents Hirsch from improving position.
Whitaker is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Hirsch is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Whitaker is wriggling around trying to escape.

Whitaker tries to improve his position but Hirsch has taken his back! Hirsch has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Whitaker tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Hirsch pushes Whitaker away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Harry Hirsch!
A relieved looking Harry Hirsch thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
