Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lawrence Ashfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sylus Kilmister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawrence Ashfield looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashfield bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kilmister is looking to regain half guard here but Ashfield keeps moving and retains side control.
Ashfield is looking to take a break and control but Kilmister is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kilmister is trying to get back to half guard.
Ashfield controlling the position from side mount.

Kilmister explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kilmister looks to land a combination but Ashfield avoids it well.
Kilmister takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ashfield is on top in guard.

Kilmister is nestled in close to Ashfield, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Ashfield is trying to maintain the position but Kilmister is very close to passing his half guard.
Ashfield wants to get back to his feet.

Ashfield closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kilmister circles away.
Horrible takedown by Ashfield or perhaps it was just good defense by Kilmister which made him look bad.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but Sylus Kilmister will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kilmister goes for an armbar but Ashfield turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ashfield.
Kilmister is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ashfield goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Jeez, Lawrence Ashfield's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lawrence Ashfield's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
