Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeganathan Mondero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Gore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeganathan Mondero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Albert Gore! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gore waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Mondero. Gore gets caught flat footed, as Mondero shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Mondero trying to control the position from guard on top but Gore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mondero is really struggling to control Gore but he's trying to hold on to the position. Mondero seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mondero with a nice head shot there. Mondero throwing strikes from guard but Gore blocks nicely. Mondero drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mondero jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gore is pulling down on Mondero's head to control his posture. Gore keeping full guard, as Mondero tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mondero working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mondero trying to control the position from guard on top but Gore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mondero throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mondero postures up in Gore's guard and throws a big left but Gore blocks it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mondero is looking to clinch but Gore is avoiding it.
Mondero tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gore swivels and escapes. Mondero shoots in but Gore avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mondero misses with a two punch combination.
Gore swats away the attempt to clinch by Mondero. Mondero shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gore pinned against the cage. Gore gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeganathan Mondero. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gore shoots in but Mondero avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mondero doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gore makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Mondero ducks under a wild hook from Gore. Gore swats away the attempt to clinch by Mondero. Mondero shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mondero was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Mondero tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gore regains half guard. Mondero is keen to just control but Gore is a slippery customer. Mondero has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mondero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gore is doing well to control the position and prevent Mondero from advancing to side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeganathan Mondero dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mondero misses with a takedown and Gore counters with a takedown into side control. Gore is looking to take a break and control but Mondero is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mondero struggling a bit here. Mondero is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mondero can't do much from the bottom here. Mondero manages to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mondero misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mondero shoots and misses and Gore counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mondero's guard now. Gore must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gore won't allow Mondero to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mondero keeping moving, preventing Gore from controlling successfully. Mondero wants to hit a switch here but Gore passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Mondero there! The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Gore. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Mondero is trying desperately to improve position. Gore avoids the attempt from Mondero to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mondero can't escape the position.
Mondero is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Mondero is looking to improve his position but Gore isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mondero sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Mondero looking for submissions off his back. Mondero looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Gore content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Mondero wants to improve his position but Gore is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Albert Gore showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Gore circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gore lands a head shot. Mondero shoots in and bounces Gore off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mondero trying to control the position from guard on top but Gore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mondero drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gore looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gore looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gore! Mondero is trying to control Gore's posture but Gore avoids it. Albert Gore has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jeganathan Mondero just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Mondero fails with the takedown so Gore counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Gore trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mondero has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gore should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mondero has tightened it up now! Gore should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
