Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bart Cubbedge (ranked 2564 p4p, 267 weight class) and No Way (ranked 2635 p4p, 276 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bart Cubbedge ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, No Way! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Way misses with a straight left. Way blocks a head kick by Cubbedge .
Way misses with a straight right. A looping hook to the body misses from Way. Cubbedge does a little dance to reset his feet. Way checks a leg kick. Way tries to clinch up. Cubbedge half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Way keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Way wants to slow Cubbedge down by chopping away at his legs. Way throws a lazy uppercut
and Cubbedge counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Way really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cubbedge . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Well, if Cubbedge is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Way pushes Cubbedge off looking to stand but Cubbedge dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Way is defending against the submission attempts here by Cubbedge .
Cubbedge winds up and cracks Way with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cubbedge slows the pace down in half guard. Cubbedge moves nicely into side control. Cubbedge in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Way prevents Cubbedge from improving position. Cubbedge has knee on belly momentarily but Way bucks him off and regains half guard. Cubbedge trying to control the action but Way is working from the bottom. Way won't allow Cubbedge to pass to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cubbedge is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Way doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cubbedge . Cubbedge wants to control but Way is keeping him busy. Cubbedge is really struggling to control Way but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Way's coach down at Deep waters was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Way's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Way misses with a left hand and Cubbedge counters by moving into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Cubbedge 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cubbedge uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Way. Cubbedge scores with a takedown into Way's guard. Cubbedge stays in close to Way's body and controls the position. Cubbedge slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Way wants to get back to his feet but Cubbedge drags him back down. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cubbedge thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Cubbedge is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Way is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bart Cubbedge dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A combination from Way does no damage. Way keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Way fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cubbedge checks it well. Cubbedge uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Way. Cubbedge drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Way bucks up and tries to throw Cubbedge off but instead Cubbedge has got his back! Cubbedge is looking to control Way but Way is wriggling around and keeping busy. Way wants to get back to his feet. Way prevents Cubbedge from getting a body triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Way preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Cubbedge . Way covering up well under a barage of strikes. Cubbedge is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Way defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Cubbedge struggling to keep hold of the position.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Cubbedge controlling the positon. Cubbedge working for the choke. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Way is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Cubbedge gets his way!
Way is having to fend off submission attempts from Cubbedge , who is looking to sink in the choke. Cubbedge doesn't have the hooks in though and Way manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Cubbedge is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Way can do to turn this around? Way content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Cubbedge has locked up a guillotine! Cubbedge 's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Way is holding on here and Cubbedge must be using up a lot of energy. Way has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Cubbedge gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bart Cubbedge !
