Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yoshihiro Asai (ranked 480 p4p, 56 weight class) and Dumba Diame Jr (ranked 837 p4p, 100 weight class). Diame Jr has chosen Get It On The Floor as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asai tries a head kick but it misses.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Diame Jr - that will leave a mark!
Diame Jr moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Diame Jr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Asai scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Diame Jr takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Asai gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diame Jr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Asai keeps working.
Diame Jr might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Asai haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Asai tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Diame Jr wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Diame Jr thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Diame Jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Asai sprawls well. He's pushed Diame Jr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Asai connects with a jab.
Asai throws a nice inside leg kick.
Diame Jr with a poor takedown
and Asai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Diame Jr fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Asai to the ground. Diame Jr is now in Asai 's guard.
Asai might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Asai is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Diame Jr is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Asai can't keep his opponent in guard - Diame Jr advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Asai is trying to control but Diame Jr manages to pass to mount!
Asai tries to lock up and control but Diame Jr gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Diame Jr can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Asai is looking to escape.
Asai wants to hold on but Diame Jr pushes him away.
Diame Jr is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Asai to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Asai shrugs it off.

Diame Jr working for a submission but Asai is keeping him at bay.
Diame Jr wants to control the pace but Asai is squirming around nicely.
Diame Jr looking for a guillotine from mount but Asai is having none of it.

Diame Jr goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Asai is on top in guard.

Asai wants to control from the top but Diame Jr keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Diame Jr wants to sweep but no luck.
Diame Jr bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Asai 's guard.
Diame Jr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Asai is trying to hold Diame Jr in close to prevent damage but Diame Jr has managed to pass into half guard.

Dumba Diame Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Asai , as that shot connected.
Diame Jr is still on wobbly legs! Can Asai finish him?
We've been told by Asai 's head coaches at The Forge that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Asai .
Diame Jr throws a head kick that Asai semi-blocks.
It looks like Yoshihiro Asai has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yoshihiro Asai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dumba Diame Jr.
Asai throws out a powerful jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Asai .
Asai throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Asai throws an overhand right that drops Diame Jr like a sack of potatoes! Asai dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
