Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brice Myers (ranked 4663 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zachary Crawford (ranked 6455 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brice Myers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zachary Crawford!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Myers closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Crawford did well to prevent Myers getting side control.
Crawford scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Myers manages to mount him!
Myers misses with a head shot.
Myers content just to control the position here.
Myers looking to control but Crawford is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Crawford slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Myers thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Myers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Myers tries to stand but can't do so whilst Crawford controls his leg.

Myers is just content to waste time from the top position. Crawford takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Crawford is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Crawford seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Myers is trying to control but can't.

Crawford is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Myers doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Crawford.
Myers might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Crawford manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Myers on his heels. He'll look to pass Myers's guard now, I'm sure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Myers is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Crawford is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

That's time! Myers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Despite the aggression on Crawford's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Crawford feints and as Myers raises his hands in defense, Crawford changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Myers is looking to stand up but Crawford isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Myers is pulling down on Crawford's head to control his posture.

Myers can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crawford controls the pace.
Zachary Crawford has got the better of the ground game so far.

It looks like Crawford is going to stand back up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Crawford has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Crawford throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Myers tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Crawford is in Myers's guard.

Myers has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Crawford has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Crawford is breathing heavily.

Myers is fighting off a takedown attempt but Crawford is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Myers to the mat. Myers regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Myers pulls Crawford in close to prevent any damage.

Myers seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Myers's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Myers moves away from the strike by Crawford.
Myers seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Zachary Crawford showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Crawford jumps guard and drags Myers to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Crawford is working an open guard so Myers takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Myers enables Crawford to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Myers manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Myers is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Crawford is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Crawford not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Crawford throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Crawford gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Myers to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Crawford pushes Myers off and gets back to his feet.

Myers closes the distance and clinches up with Crawford, looking for a takedown. Myers pushes Crawford against the cage but Crawford circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Myers feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Crawfords jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Crawford throws a one two combo.

Crawford darts in and clinches Myers up against the cage.

Crawford is trying to trip Myers. He has hold of a leg but Myers is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Crawford persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Myers scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A nice leg kick lands there from Myers.

Crawford fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Myers, pushing him back against the cage.
Crawford is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Crawford ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Crawford no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Myers throws an elbow that misses. Crawford uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Myers's guard. Nice move by Crawford!

Zachary Crawford comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Crawford has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
