Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Horus Set (ranked 2929 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deair Shaw (ranked 4917 p4p, 0 weight class). Horus Set has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Horus Set!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Deair Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Set leaves Shaw with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Shaw uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Set.
Set attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Shaw shoots for a double leg takedown but Set sprawls well. He's pushed Shaw's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Set throws a combination that misses
and Shaw counters with a left and a right that stings Set.
Set throws a sloppy head kick and Shaw moves out of range easily.
Set throws a head kick that Shaw semi-blocks.

Shaw forces Set back against the cage and clinches.

Set is trying to trip Shaw. He has hold of a leg but Shaw is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Set persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Shaw manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Set lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Set works his foot free and advances to mount.
Shaw wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Set.
Shaw is trying desperately to improve position.

Shaw tries to lock up and control but Set gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Set is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Shaw gets back to half guard.
Shaw is looking for a sweep. Set is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Set working the head and body with strikes.
Shaw wants to control but Set is keeping busy.

Set is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Set seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Shaw is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Set throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Shaw works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Set has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Set's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Set with a flurry of punches that miss.
Set really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Shaw has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Set can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Set trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Shaw utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Set is in close to Shaw's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Set with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Shaw is trying to control the position but Set postures up.

Set throws a strike but Shaw rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Shaw blocks a head kick by Set.
Set scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Set misses with a double jab
and Shaw connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Set dodges the punch combination from Shaw.
Set lands a right hook to the body.
Set lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Shaw backs up against the cage.
Shaw shoots in for a takedown but Set shows good takedown defense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horus Set dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

As Shaw looks to move away, Set throws a big counter combo but Shaw just gets out of the way.
Shaw jabs Set to the body, keeping him at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaw misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Set looks to land a body kick but Shaw moved away.
Shaw lands a leg kick that knocks Set off balance momentarily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Shaw shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Set manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Set is working an open guard so Shaw takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Set misses with a two punch combination.
Shaw tries to move into range but Set moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Set lands with an overhand left.
Shaw on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Set throws a head kick but Shaw moves out of range.
Horus Set is winning the standup battle so far.
Set throws a combination that misses
and Shaw counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Shaw dives in and grabs Set's left leg, looking for a takedown. Set pushes down on Shaw's head and hops out.
Shaw lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Set pushes Shaw off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Set falls off balance throwing a combination
and Shaw counters with a left and a right that stings Set.
Shaw avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shaw is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Shaw looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Set is fending him off so far but Shaw persists. Nope, Set circles away and we're back to standing.
Set looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Set drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Shaw's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Set connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Shaw some visible discomfort.
Shaw sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Set looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shaw with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Set thows a huge punch but Shaw dodges it nicely.
Shaw is looking to control Set's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Shaw avoid being mounted?

Set is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Set is nestled in close to Shaw, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Horus Set overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Shaw manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Set manages to get himself to full guard.

Horus Set has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deair Shaw.
Set slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Set goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Shaw closes the distance and clinches up with Set, looking for a takedown. Shaw pushes Set against the cage but Set circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Set throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Shaw counters with a three punch combo that has Set backing up. Set nods at Shaw to acknowledge the strikes.

Shaw clinches up with Set and pushes him back against the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Set gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Shaw regains guard.

Set stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Shaw feints and as Set raises his hands in defense, Shaw changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Set has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Shaw has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Set works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Shaw kicks Set off and gets to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Set throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Shaw.
Set tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Set is trying to get back to his feet but Shaw has full control of the position and if anything, Set has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Set trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Set wants to get back to his feet. He's half way up but Shaw drags him back down with a jolt, managing to get his forearm deep under Set 's chin! Set is in real trouble! His face is turning bright red and he's forced to tap! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Deair Shaw!
Deair Shaw spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
