Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Crane (ranked 2905 p4p, 331 weight class) and Archie Ouchie (ranked 4069 p4p, 455 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Steve Crane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Archie Ouchie! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ouchie rushes Crane and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ouchie dodges an elbow strike from Crane.

Ouchie lands a good knee to the midsection. Crane won't want to take too many of those. Ouchie throws a knee to the head but misses.
Ouchie pushes off an throws an elbow but Crane leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Crane. Crane avoids the elbow strike from Ouchie, against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ouchie throws an elbow but it's blocked.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Crane takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Ouchie's coach down at Hilo Warriors Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ouchie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Ouchie has Crane pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Crane is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Ouchie - that's hurt Crane badly! Oh, another knee lands and Crane is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Crane doesn't seem to be complaining.
