Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reima Poika (ranked 1784 p4p, 205 weight class) and Blake Jones (ranked 3758 p4p, 387 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Reima Poika! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Blake Jones! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poika swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jones now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Poika scores with a kick to the midsection. Poika throws a sloppy head kick and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Poika throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jones tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Poika shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Poika controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones is looking for a triangle here but Poika uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Poika is trying to get an arm triangle but Jones is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poika advances to full mount. Poika controlling the pace for now. We've been hearing good reports from Poika's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Poika raining down shots from the mount! Jones can't escape the position.
Jones has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is bucking up trying to escape but Poika cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poika wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. BOOM! Poika connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jones tries to reverse the position but Poika maintains control. Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work. Poika keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Poika has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Jones is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poika slips a nice elbow through Jones's hands, connecting with Jones's forehead. Jones wants to control but Poika is keeping busy and won't allow it. Poika lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Poika is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Jones is hurt! He's hurt bad - Poika fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Jones from any more punishment! Congratulations to Poika! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Reima Poika! Reima Poika retains his lightweight title! Blake Jones was interviewed post fight and said 'I faced a great fighter and lost. It happens, but I will go home, train harder, and come back stronger to put on another show for all these fans!!'.
