Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wilford Hayes (ranked 6532 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lando Hernandez (ranked 6281 p4p, 0 weight class). Lando Hernandez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Wilford Hayes's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wilford Hayes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lando Hernandez! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayes closes the distance and clinches. Hernandez gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hayes regains guard.
Hernandez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hernandez won't allow Hayes to get back to his feet. Hayes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hayes wants to stand and escape but Hernandez is having none of it. Hernandez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hayes controls Hernandez momentarily but Hernandez frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hernandez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hayes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hernandez is controlling him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hernandez misses with a head kick.
Hayes wants to clinch.

Hayes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Hayes has picked Hernandez up - he's going for a ride! Hayes dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Hernandez makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hernandez. Hayes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hayes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hayes controlling from the top position. Hernandez controlling the position. Hayes throwing strikes but missing. Hayes sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hernandez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hernandez wants to free his trapped foot but Hayes is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayes tries to roll over but Hernandez keeps him under control. Hernandez keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Hernandez throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hayes manages to get to full guard.
Hayes controls Hernandez momentarily but Hernandez frees himself. Hayes looking for a sweep. Not yet Hayes, not yet. Hernandez trying to control but Hayes is working from the bottom. Hernandez won't allow Hayes to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hayes keeping full guard, as Hernandez tries to pass. Hayes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hayes is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Hernandez presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Hayes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hernandez looking to score a takedown here. Hayes is defending well but Hernandez drives through and ends up in Hayes's guard. Hayes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hayes is trying to keep Hernandez in close.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hernandez prevents Hayes from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hernandez is trying to push Hayes away but Hayes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Hernandez gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hayes regains guard.
Hayes pushes Hernandez off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Hayes is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hernandez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hayes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hernandez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Hayes is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayes is not content to let Hernandez control the position. Hayes is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hernandez has just dragged him back down to the mat. An elbow from Hernandez crashes against the mat.
Hernandez working away. Hayes trying his best to control but Hernandez has mounted him. Hernandez goes for an armbar but Hayes turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hayes. Hernandez looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Hayes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hernandez works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hernandez pulls Hayes in to control the position. Hayes is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lando Hernandez has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hayes gets a takedown into half guard. Hayes looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Hayes sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hernandez defending well though.

Hayes controlling the action here. Hayes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hernandez keeps working. Hayes tries to stand but can't do so whilst Hernandez controls his leg. That was a close second round but I would say that Wilford Hayes will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Hernandez has one foot on Hayes's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Hayes tries to close the distance and clinch but Hernandez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hernandez fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hayes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hayes gets the takedown into side control. Hernandez explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez takes the fight into the clinch. Hernandez creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Hernandez lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Hayes is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hernandez is defending well for now. Hernandez misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hayes.
Hayes is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hernandez is defending well. Hayes jumps guard but Hernandez stands there with Hayes around his waist. Hayes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilford Hayes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hayes tries to break free but Hernandez pushes him back against the cage.

Hernandez feints and as Hayes raises his hands in defense, Hernandez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hernandez won't allow Hayes to get back to his feet. Hayes keeping moving, preventing Hernandez from controlling successfully. Hayes pulls Hernandez in to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hayes has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Hernandez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hernandez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hayes swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Hernandez pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Hayes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hayes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hernandez swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hernandez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hayes's guard.

Hayes has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hernandez is on him like a limpet, forcing Hayes back against the cage. Hernandez wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hayes stalls. Hernandez manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hayes gets caught flat footed, as Hernandez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Lando Hernandez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hernandez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
