Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fumito Makino (ranked 5830 p4p, 420 weight class) and Frederick Weinstein (ranked 24729 p4p, 492 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fumito Makino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frederick Weinstein! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weinstein on the wrong end of a nice hook. Makino displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Weinstein. Makino changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Makino dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Weinstein looking to score a takedown here. Makino is defending well but Weinstein drives through and ends up in Makino's guard. Makino knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Weinstein on the ground. Makino wants to stand and escape but Weinstein is having none of it. Makino working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Weinstein. Makino has Weinstein pulled in close to control his posture. Makino has momentary wrist control but Weinstein slips an elbow through the middle. Weinstein postures up.

Weinstein content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Weinstein works over Makino with some ground and pound from guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Makino trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Makino can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Weinstein controls the pace. Makino is pulling down on Weinstein's head to control his posture. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Makino bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Weinstein avoids the body shot from Makino.

Weinstein throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Makino was covering up waiting for the punch and Weinstein finishes the takedown easily into guard. Weinstein landing with the ground and pound. Makino might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Makino is looking to sweep but instead, Weinstein has passed into half guard.

Fumito Makino dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Makino is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Weinstein scores with a couple of nice shots. Weinstein not doing much here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Weinstein seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Makino won't allow Weinstein to pass to mount. Weinstein works his way into side control. Weinstein goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Makino rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Weinstein's guard! Nice work there by Makino! Weinstein trying to keep a closed guard but Makino is proving a slippery customer.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Makino accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Weinstein keeping full guard, as Makino tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Makino bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Weinstein closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Weinstein takes one on the button. Weinstein moves out of range of the strikes. Makino moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Makino lands a body shot.

And that's the end of the fight! Fumito Makino showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Makino, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
