PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brett Isildor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JF Houle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Houle has chosen Devine as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Brett Isildor has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Brett Isildor seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houle takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Houle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Isildor tries to avoid it but Houle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Isildor to the ground. Isildor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Isildor catches Houle with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Houle takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Isildor.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Isildor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Houle looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Houle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Houle drops back looking for a leg! Isildor is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Isildor manages to kick Houle off! Houle jumps back into Isildor's guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Houle's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Isildor has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Houle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Isildor as he avoids it easily.

Isildor lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Isildor, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
