Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Felix Chase !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
27 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Cliff Rigano!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chase showed some decent athleticism there.
Rigano is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chase 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chase 's back!
Chase breaks Rigano's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Chase drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chase jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Chase has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Rigano to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Chase is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Rigano pulls down on the head and he's put Chase to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Cliff Rigano!
