Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Lakoj Dresden (ranked 2053 p4p, 271 weight class) and Rui Rodrigo Germano (ranked 3266 p4p, 400 weight class). Germano comes into a darkened arena with his song building. HIM - Don't Fear The Reaper kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Lakoj Dresden! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Rui Rodrigo Germano! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Dresden misses with a takedown and Germano counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Dresden (0) vs (2) Germano Dresden looking for a sweep. Not yet Dresden, not yet. Germano trying to control but Dresden is working from the bottom. Dresden wants to improve his position but instead Germano has moved into half guard.

Germano is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dresden knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Germano working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Dresden tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Germano wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Germano trying to control the action but Dresden is working from the bottom. Dresden is trying to get back to half guard. Dresden prevents Germano from moving into mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Germano tries for a kimura but Dresden is defending well. Germano tries to move into full mount but can't pass Dresden's legs. Dresden is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dresden is working hard here to advance position.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Germano seems to be working for a kimura but Dresden defends the submission attempt. Germano prevents Dresden from improving his position. Germano is just content to waste time from the top position. Dresden takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Germano trying to control the position from guard on top but Dresden is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dresden is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Dresden can't keep his opponent in guard - Germano advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Germano is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dresden doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Germano. Dresden looking for a kimura from the bottom but Germano passes into side control! That's six minutes gone in the round. Germano wants to control but Dresden is keeping him busy. Dresden is holding Germano down, trying to stall. Germano tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Germano has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Dresden is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Germano off and has taken his back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Dresden (4) vs (8) Germano I really don't envy Germano right now.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Germano wants to control from the top but Dresden keeps moving. Dresden has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Dresden manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Germano manages to get himself to full guard.

Dresden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Germano swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dresden is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Germano is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Germano has escaped and now he's on top! That's eight minutes gone in the round. Dresden has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Germano can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Germano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dresden swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dresden is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dresden not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Germano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dresden swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dresden has his foot on Germano's thigh. The fighters roll with the hold and Dresden manages to kick Germano off! Germano jumps back into Dresden's guard. Dresden keeping moving, preventing Germano from controlling successfully.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Dresden looking to hit a scissor sweep but Germano is one step ahead there. Dresden looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Dresden has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Germano doesn't defend quickly enough and Dresden has managed to lock this one up! Can Germano escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dresden on a fantastic submission victory.
