Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ret Ired (ranked 2158 p4p, 239 weight class) and Sebastian Halstenberg (ranked 2499 p4p, 276 weight class). Halstenberg is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bring Me The Horizon - Can You Feel My Heart. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ret Ired!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sebastian Halstenberg!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halstenberg circles away from the clinch attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ired sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Halstenberg's guard.

Ired has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ired is keen to just control but Halstenberg is a slippery customer.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ired decides to return to a standing position.
Halstenberg fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Sebastian Halstenberg is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Halstenberg lands a left and a right that send Ired crashing to the mat, dazed. Halstenberg thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Ret Ired has been cut.

Ired closes the distance and clinches.
Ired has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Halstenberg is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Halstenberg's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Ired is trying to trip Halstenberg. He has hold of a leg but Halstenberg is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ired persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Ired stands up and waves to Halstenberg to follow him.

Halstenberg's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Ired throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Halstenberg is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Halstenberg is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Ired lands a couple of good shots and Halstenberg has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Ired is pushing down on Halstenberg's leg trying to pass to half guard. Halstenberg is fighting to maintain full guard but Ired has managed to sneak the leg through.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ired lands a nice short elbow.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Ired drops Halstenberg with a beautiful combination! Halstenberg stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ired is looking for the KO!


That has opened up Sebastian Halstenberg's cut even more.

Halstenberg fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ired manages to avoid it.
Ired lands a big right hook! Halstenberg looks hurt but is still standing! Ired lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Halstenberg falls down and Ired dives in with a huge hammer fist! Halstenberg's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Ired runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ret Ired!
Ret Ired took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, Sully's Bar & Grill for their support in the buildup to the fight.
