The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camacho fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ion is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Camacho digs a good body shot into Ion's ribs.
Camacho lands a jab to the nose.
Camacho throws a sloppy head kick
and Ion counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ion misses with a head shot. Camacho uses the momentum to regain guard.
Ion postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Ion scoring with punches to the head and body.
Ion chips away with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ion postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Camacho is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ion, into his guard.
Camacho has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ion looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Camacho is defending well. Ion quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Camacho has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Ion celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
