Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Al Lepine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Flavius Aetius!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aetius scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Aetius is going olschool here, as he tries to force Lepine to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lepine shrugs it off.
Lepine knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aetius on the ground.

Aetius swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lepine is now in Aetius's guard. A big mistake from Aetius there, giving up the dominant position!

Aetius escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lepine gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aetius is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Aetius isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lepine stacks Aetius on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lepine!
You can see the frustration on Aetius's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Aetius is looking to regain half guard here but Lepine keeps moving and retains side control.
Aetius is trying to control Lepine's posture but Lepine avoids it.

Lepine wants to stand up but Aetius has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Aetius shoots in but no luck this time.
Lepine tries to bum rush Aetius with a series of wild strikes but Aetius uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lepine throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lepine is looking to clinch but Aetius is avoiding it.

Aetius shoots in and bounces Lepine off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Aetius throws a big right hand that misses.
Aetius lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Aetius thows a big elbow that misses.

Lepine keeping moving, preventing Aetius from controlling successfully.
Aetius sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Aetius passes Lepine's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Aetius is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lepine is not content to let Aetius control the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Lepine is refusing to be controlled, as Aetius sits in half guard.
Aetius uses his free foot to push down on Lepine's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lepine.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lepine is in a horrible position here. Aetius smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Aetius is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lepine is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Aetius looks up at the clock and then as Lepine takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Aetius smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Aetius thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Lepine regains half guard there - taking advantage of Aetius's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Aetius thows a huge punch but Lepine dodges it nicely.

Aetius is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Aetius looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lepine with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Lepine avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Aetius.
Flavius Aetius is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Aetius is taking a breather. Lepine says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Al Lepine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Flavius Aetius comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Aetius has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
