Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Richardson (ranked 4297 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alberto Moreno (ranked 6187 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Richardson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alberto Moreno! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richardson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Moreno throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Richardson. Richardson keeps the fight on the outside. Moreno has managed to clinch.
Richardson is trying to pull guard but Moreno turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Richardson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Moreno pulls him back up using the underhooks. Richardson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Moreno pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Richardson. That's going to take a lot out of him. A punch combination from Moreno misses. Richardson clinches with his opponent.

Richardson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Moreno gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Moreno wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Richardson has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moreno can't break the clinch.
Richardson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Richardson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Moreno as he avoids it easily. Richardson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Richardson circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richardson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Richardson is defended easily by Moreno. Moreno looks to land a combination but Richardson avoids it well. Moreno tries to clinch but Richardson moves out of range. Richardson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Moreno tries to clinch up. Moreno just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromRichardson. Alberto Moreno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Richardson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Richardson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Richardson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Moreno lands a jab.
Richardson is rocked! Moreno tries to clinch but Richardson is having none of it. Moreno keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moreno drops Richardson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Moreno follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alberto Moreno!
