Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Collier (ranked 24693 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ghost Smokerider (ranked 5800 p4p, 0 weight class). Smokerider has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Ghost Smokerider has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Dexter Collier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ghost Smokerider!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smokerider looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Smokerider looks winded!
Collier manages to get to full guard.

Collier looking for a guillotine here but Smokerider defends easily.
Collier really is a fat lump.
Collier throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Collier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smokerider gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Collier throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Collier lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smokerider is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Collier's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Collier with a flurry of punches that miss.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Collier accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Collier with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Collier not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Collier postures up and lands a big shot to Smokerider's brow.

Collier stands up and waves to Smokerider to follow him.
Collier tries to close the distance and clinch but Smokerider swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Collier misses with a looping left.

Collier gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Collier pulls Smokerider into guard.
Smokerider stopping the sweep attempt from Collier.

Collier is working hard here to advance position.
Smokerider is looking to advance position but Collier has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Collier lands a big elbow.
Collier takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Smokerider working to try and regain half guard.

Collier avoids the attempt from Smokerider to control.
Collier takes Smokerider's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Smokerider is in trouble.
Smokerider is trapped and Collier is scoring with shots to the head and body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Collier punishes Smokerider with strikes from the back mount.
Collier is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Smokerider. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Smokerider wants to counter the offense by Collier and move into the clinch position.

Collier moves into range and clinches up with Smokerider.
Collier using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Smokerider has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Smokerider manages to break the clinch.
Collier is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smokerider can do to turn this around?

Collier tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Collier lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Collier tries to pull guard but Smokerider holds him up against the cage and eventually Collier drops back down to his feet.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Collier tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Smokerider gets control of Collier's arms and successfully pulls guard. Smokerider will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Dexter Collier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Collier is working Smokerider over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Collier in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Collier controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Collier gets a clinch.
Collier has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smokerider is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dexter Collier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smokerider blocks a punch to the side of the head.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Collier pulls guard effortlessly.

Collier is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Collier has his foot on Smokerider's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smokerider works his way back into a safe position though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Collier is on top in guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Collier gets the takedown into side control.
Collier is putting a hurting on Smokerider here, landing some big shots from side control.
Smokerider on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Collier scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Smokerider to see if he's OK.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Smokerider is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Collier is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Collier has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Smokerider's face.

Smokerider is looking to improve his position but Collier isn't that keen on the idea.
Collier lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Collier has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Collier cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Collier is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Smokerider can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The referee warns Smokerider that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Collier lands a heavy elbow.
Smokerider is working to get back to half guard.
BOOM! Collier connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Collier is landing with some decent strikes but Smokerider is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Collier is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Smokerider can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Smokerider has given up his back. Will we see Collier going for some submissions?
Smokerider is covering up but some of the strikes from Collier are getting through and doing damage.

Smokerider rolls, trying to escape but Collier keeps control of the position.
Collier lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Collier lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Smokerider.
Collier lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Collier's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Collier throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Smokerider!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Smokerider looking very determined here, making life difficult for Collier.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Collier is riding his opponent, not letting Smokerider buck him off.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Collier, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
