The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner blocks a head kick by Ali .
Banner is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Banner misses with a body shot.
Banner is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ali .
Ali misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Ali pushes Banner up against the cage in a clinch.
Ali is trying to pull guard but Banner turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Banner has a couple of punches blocked by Ali .
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Banner throws a punch but it's blocked by Ali .
Banner goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Banner lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Ali throws a head punch that misses.
Banner scores with a shot to the side of Ali 's head.

Banner jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ali walks away with a smile on his face. Banner gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ali closes the distance and clinches.
Banner tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Ali blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Banner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Banner takes a kick to the side of the head.
Nice uppercut lands for Ali . That snapped Banner 's head back.
A head kick misses from Ali .
Banner is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Banner attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Ali throws a head kick that misses
and Banner counters with a nice uppercut.
Ali has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Ali lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ali misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Banner throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ali or perhaps it was just good defense by Banner , which made it look bad.
Banner wants to counter the offense by Ali and move into the clinch position.
Ali throws a sloppy head kick
and Banner counters with an inside leg kick.
Banner uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ali .
Banner shapes to counter with a head kick.
Banner sizes up Ali with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Banner jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lamont Banner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ali is defended easily by Banner .

Ali shoots in looking for a takedown. Banner tries to sprawl out of it but Ali keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Banner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Banner slips a straight right by Ali .
Banner flicks out a counter leg kick but Ali steps away.
A shot to the body from Ali misses
and Banner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ali wants to clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Banner ! But no joy.
Ali fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ali 's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Banner connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ali scrambles back to his feet.
Ali throws a lazy head kick
and Banner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Ali is rocked!
Banner moves in close and cracks Ali with a massive right hand! Ali , frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Banner !
