The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hooker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Texas.
It looked like Texas wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Texas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hooker swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Hooker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hooker moves away from the strike by Texas.
Texas doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Texas shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Texas takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Texas is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hooker's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Texas is working for a kimura but Hooker is defending it quite comfortably.
Hooker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Texas pulls his head out easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

After the fight, Ryan Texas was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
