Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Haka Motu (ranked 2746 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fritz Hammer (ranked 4033 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Motu lands with a good body shot.
Motu falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hammer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Motu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hammer manages to avoid it.
Hammer is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Motu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Motu throws out a loose jab but Hammer uses good head movement to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hammer! But no joy.
Hammer looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Motu misses with an uppercut. Hammer saw that one coming.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Motu is defended easily by Hammer.
Haka Motu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hammer ducks under a wild hook from Motu.
As Motu backs off Hammer throws a huge counter combo but Motu manages to avoid it all.

and Hammer counters by clinching up.

Motu misses with a short punch on the inside.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hammer takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Motu is trying to drag Hammer to the mat but Hammer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Hammer tries to work over Motu's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hammer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Hammer gets underhooks to prevent Motu's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Haka Motu. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Motu has had enough of the clinch but Hammer keeps him there for the moment.
Motu's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Motu is trying to break the clinch but Hammer has him pressed against the cage.

Hammer gets through Motu's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Hammer lands a left hand that snaps the head of Motu backwards.
Hammer works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Hammer lands a shot to the body.
Hammer digs a right hand underneath Motu's ribcage. Motu let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Hammer lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Motu or not.

Hammer breaks from the clinch.
Motu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hammer was well out of range. Poor timing from Motu.
Motu doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

and Hammer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hammer stalks Motu and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Motu's face. Motu staggers backwards, shaken.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hammer throws an overhand right that has Motu reeling! Hammer follows up with more punches and Motu is out cold! This one is all over!
