Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucien Lachance (ranked 2379 p4p, 289 weight class) and Slash Slingin (ranked 1254 p4p, 163 weight class). Slingin has chosen Drop The World as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Slash Slingin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slingin slips a straight right by Lachance.
Slingin tries to counter with a clinch but Lachance shakes him off and moves away.

Lachance moves into range and clinches up with Slingin.
Slingin misses with a shot to the kidneys.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Slingin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lachance gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lachance drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Slingin dives on top into guard.

Lachance seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
