CACC 15 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Joe Gatsby (ranked 2881 p4p, 309 weight class) and Fallschirm J�ger (ranked 1933 p4p, 222 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying J�ger's choice of entrance music: For Heavy Metal we will die!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Joe Gatsby! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 3 losses; Fallschirm J�ger!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

J�ger drives through and clinches with Gatsby against the ropes.

Gatsby jumps into guard, dragging J�ger to the mat.
Gatsby is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gatsby bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in J�ger's guard.

J�ger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gatsby doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gatsby manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

J�ger is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gatsby pulls his head out easily.
J�ger felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Gatsby throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! J�ger escapes and throws Gatsby's legs to the side, diving into side control!

J�ger wins on points by 23 to 13.
After the fight, Fallschirm J�ger was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
