Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Dredd (ranked 5342 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutus Chaos (ranked 4153 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jake Dredd has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jake Dredd seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brutus Chaos!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dredd closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Chaos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dredd.
Dredd shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chaos pinned against the cage. Chaos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dredd displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chaos throws out the jab.
Dredd slips a jab from Chaos.
Dredd throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chaos's waist but Chaos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dredd off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Dredd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chaos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dredd.
Chaos drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dredd defends it well.
Chaos swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Chaos ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dredd shoots in for a takedown but Chaos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Chaos lands a nice shot that snaps Dredd's head back.
It looks like Jake Dredd has been cut.
Chaos misses with a series of wild punches.
Dredd tries for a takedown but Chaos sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dredd fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chaos sprawls well initially but Dredd persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chaos tries to kick Dredd off but Dredd keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Ground and pound from Dredd.
Dredd wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chaos keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dredd prevents Chaos from improving his position.
Chaos trying to hold on to Dredd's head to control him but Dredd postures up.
Dredd seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Chaos is looking for a sweep. Dredd is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dredd passes to side control.
Dredd looks up at the clock and then as Chaos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dredd smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chaos struggling a bit here.
Dredd tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dredd has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chaos can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dredd in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Chaos is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jake Dredd!
