Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tschechov Emilienko (ranked 2280 p4p, 295 weight class) and Akolo Mbozo (ranked 4107 p4p, 457 weight class). Akolo Mbozo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tschechov Emilienko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Akolo Mbozo! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mbozo tries to close the distance and clinch but Emilienko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Emilienko moves into the clinch. Mbozo tries to circle away but Emilienko has him pinned against the cage. Mbozo throws a head punch that misses. Emilienko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mbozo thuds a left hand into Emilienko's body. Mbozo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Mbozo tries to bum rush Emilienko with a series of wild strikes but Emilienko uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Akolo Mbozo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jab by Mbozo. Mbozo tries to clinch but Emilienko is having none of it. Emilienko has taken the fight to the clinch.

Emilienko has Mbozo pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Emilienko pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mbozo tumbling to the mat - Emilienko dives into Mbozo's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Emilienko stands and throws Mbozo's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emilienko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Emilienko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Emilienko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mbozo has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Emilienko with the ground and pound but Mbozo regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Emilienko wants to control but Mbozo is keeping him busy. Emilienko is looking to advance position but Mbozo won't allow it. Mbozo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Emilienko. Emilienko is looking to advance position but Mbozo won't allow it. Emilienko is figuring out what he wants to do next. Emilienko works his way into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emilienko working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Emilienko has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Emilienko moves into the clinch successfully.
Emilienko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mbozo's corner calls for a 1-2. Mbozo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Tschechov Emilienko has been cut. Mbozo throws a monster overhand right that drops Emilienko! Mbozo follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
