Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Jones (ranked 2620 p4p, 139 weight class) and Joe Tidd (ranked 1806 p4p, 101 weight class). Joe Tidd has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jerry Jones's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jerry Jones! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Tidd! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a shot from downtown. Tidd moves away and avoids it. Tidd feints the counter takedown. Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Tidd. Tidd shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones attempts a counter takedown but Tidd avoids it well and moves away. Jones gets caught napping as Tidd dives in and scores a takedown. Jones manages to retain guard. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Tidd throws a big elbow that misses. Jones has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Jones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Tidd utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tidd holds on and takes a little breather. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tidd manages to avoid it. Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Tidd is doing well to control the position and prevent Jones from advancing to side control. Tidd keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. You get the feeling that Tidd really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Tidd bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tidd works his way into full mount! Tidd looking to finish Jones with some ground and pound. This is bad for Jones!
