Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kobe Covington (ranked 4380 p4p, 469 weight class) and Johnson Negreiros (ranked 3961 p4p, 433 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Covington closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Covington lands in his opponent's guard.
Covington is standing up over Negreiros. Negreiros looks to escape but Covington dives into side control.

Negreiros parries the strikes from Covington easily there. Covington is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Negreiros to escape.

Covington lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Johnson Negreiros seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Negreiros changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Covington tries to avoid it but Negreiros manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Covington to the ground. Covington escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
