Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesus Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Buzzard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sanchez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Buzzard.
A left and a right from Buzzard both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Jesus Sanchez has been cut.
Buzzard checks a leg kick.
Buzzard is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Sanchez feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Buzzard's calf.
Sanchez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sanchez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Buzzard has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Sanchez throws a chopping leg kick but Buzzard manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Buzzard throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sanchez on the side of the head.
Buzzard throws a right and a left that Sanchez avoids nicely.
Buzzard moves out of range of the leg kick from Sanchez.
Buzzard is looking to counter punch.
Sanchez lands with a right hand.

Sanchez throws a leg kick but Buzzard sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A slow jab from Sanchez misses its intended target.
Sanchez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Buzzard ducks right into an uppercut from Sanchez.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sanchez connects with a leg kick. Buzzard looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Buzzard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sanchez.
Buzzard cracks Sanchez with an open hand slap.
Sanchez misses with a looping left.
A counter left hand to the body from Buzzard misses its target.
Sir Anthony Buzzard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Buzzard ducks under a wild hook from Sanchez.
Buzzard was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Sanchez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jesus Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It looked like Buzzard wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Sanchez drops his hands momentarily and Buzzard takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Sanchez jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt - Buzzard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Buzzard throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Sanchez to counter with a crisp jab.
Buzzard moves away from the strike by Sanchez.
Buzzard dodges the punch combination from Sanchez.
Sanchez gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Buzzard counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Buzzard cracks Sanchez with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Sanchez looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Buzzard finish him?


Sanchez is rocked!


That has opened up Jesus Sanchez's cut even more.
Buzzard blocks a jab.
Sanchez moves out of range of the strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A nice leg kick lands there from Buzzard.
Sanchez misses with a lunging right hand
and Sanchez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Buzzard throws a lazy uppercut
and Sanchez counters with an inside leg kick.
Sanchez throws a lazy right hand but Buzzard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Buzzard slips under a jab from Sanchez.

Buzzard feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sanchez sprawling to the canvas! Sanchez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Buzzard finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Buzzard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sanchez was well out of range. Poor timing from Buzzard.

Buzzard lands a big right hand that sends Sanchez crashing to the mat! Buzzard stays standing though and waves Sanchez back to his feet!
Sanchez is still on wobbly legs! Can Buzzard finish him?


The cut above Jesus Sanchez's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Sanchez throws a leg kick
and Buzzard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Good leg kick by Buzzard there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Buzzard is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Buzzard throws an overhand right that drops Sanchez like a sack of potatoes! Buzzard dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sir Anthony Buzzard!
An intense looking Sir Anthony Buzzard took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'THE CHAMP IS FUCKING HERE! IF YOU WANT SOME, COME AND GET SOME! '.
