Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Costa De Andrade (ranked 620 p4p, 74 weight class) and Giuseppe Amodei (ranked 936 p4p, 109 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcelo Costa De Andrade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giuseppe Amodei! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amodei lands with a thumping leg kick.
Amodei throws an overhand right that lands on De Andrade's shoulder, as De Andrade tries to avoid the shot. Amodei ducks under a wild hook from De Andrade. Amodei ducks under a wild hook from De Andrade. De Andrade has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Zero Tolerance in the buildup to the fight. De Andrade misses with an uppercut. Amodei saw that one coming. De Andrade misses with a straight left. Amodei lands a leg kick that knocks De Andrade off balance momentarily. De Andrade listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
It looks like Giuseppe Amodei has been cut. De Andrade throws a good cross that connects.
A looping hook to the body misses from De Andrade. Amodei does a little dance to reset his feet. Amodei is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. De Andrade has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Amodei. A jab from De Andrade misses. De Andrade misses the jab. De Andrade uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Amodei.
Amodei is looking to chop away at De Andrade's legs. De Andrade throws the left hand but Amodei avoids the punch easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! De Andrade lands a jab to the nose. Amodei connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed De Andrade momentarily.
Marcelo Costa De Andrade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. De Andrade is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Amodei. Amodei uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from De Andrade.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from De Andrade. Those never looked like landing. Amodei tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Marcelo Costa De Andrade is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. De Andrade throws the left hand but Amodei avoids the punch easily. De Andrade cracks Amodei with an open hand slap. A slow jab from De Andrade misses its intended target. Amodei ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. De Andrade's corner calls for a 1-2. De Andrade obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Amodei takes a shot to the body in his stride.
De Andrade throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Amodei sees it coming and avoids it easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Amodei! But no joy. De Andrade checks a leg kick. De Andrade throwing a counter right hand but Amodei manages to avoid it. De Andrade takes one on the button. Sloppy strikes from De Andrade. Those never looked like landing. Amodei smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. and Amodei counters with a lovely straight right hand! De Andrade takes a shot right to the bread basket. De Andrade avoids a lazy jab quite easily. De Andrade connects with a crisp jab.

A slow jab from De Andrade misses its intended target. Amodei let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Amodei jabbing away but nothing is landing. De Andrade falls off balance throwing a combination
and Amodei counters with a nice leg kick. De Andrade throws a body punch but Amodei moves out of range. De Andrade lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Amodei counters with a nice low kick that buckles De Andrade's knee momentarily. De Andrade throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Amodei counters with a nice uppercut. De Andrade misses the shot to the body. De Andrade throws out a loose jab but Amodei uses good head movement to avoid it. De Andrade throws an ugly left hook that misses
so Amodei counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Amodei pushes down on De Andrade's leg and manages to get into half guard. Amodei is looking for a kimura but De Andrade is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Amodei to get the leverage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Andrade holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Amodei seems to be working for a kimura but De Andrade defends the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. De Andrade is staying active underneath Amodei, who seems content to just control the action from this position. De Andrade knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Amodei on the ground. Amodei is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Amodei trying to control from half guard but De Andrade is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. De Andrade is positioning himself well to prevent Amodei advancing to mount. Amodei is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. De Andrade doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Amodei. De Andrade is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Amodei's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Amodei's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Marcelo Costa De Andrade will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Giuseppe Amodei's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Amodei chopping away at his opponent's legs.
De Andrade misses with a wild body shot. De Andrade lands a left and a right that send Amodei crashing to the mat, dazed. De Andrade thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Amodei is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! De Andrade is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from De Andrade shuts the power down on Amodei. Lights out, game over! De Andrade is your winner.
