Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roger Andermatt (ranked 1569 p4p, 172 weight class) and Miguel Harper (ranked 234 p4p, 29 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roger Andermatt! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Miguel Harper! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andermatt walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Andermatt misses with a straight right. Harper drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Andermatt defends it well. Nice sprawl there from Andermatt as Harper shoots in. Andermatt is looking to counter punch. Andermatt connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Nice defenses there by Harper. We've been told by Andermatt's head coaches at TZY MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Andermatt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harper was well out of range. Poor timing from Andermatt. Andermatt throws a hook but Harper blocks it. Harper tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Andermatt moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Harper is trying hard to land a takedown here. Andermatt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. It looked like Andermatt was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Harper. Harper on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Harper has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Harper throws a lazy right hand but Andermatt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Harper connects with a crisp jab. Andermatt takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Harper moves out of range as Andermatt strikes. Harper scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Andermatt doesn't seem bothered though. Harper misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Andermatt.

That was a close round but I would say that Roger Andermatt will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
