Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jesus St Pierre (ranked 2951 p4p, 321 weight class) and Kyle Seehaver (ranked 1952 p4p, 225 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 2 losses; Jesus St Pierre! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Kyle Seehaver! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Seehaver tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but St Pierre swivels and escapes. St Pierre attempts a counter takedown but Seehaver avoids it well and moves away. St Pierre closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Seehaver to the mat! Seehaver manages to get full guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: St Pierre (2) vs (0) Seehaver St Pierre wants to pass the guard but Seehaver is keeping the position. Seehaver looking to sweep here. No luck so far. St Pierre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Seehaver swivels though and keeps the full guard. St Pierre passes into half guard. St Pierre is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Seehaver doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time St Pierre. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. St Pierre wants to pass the guard but Seehaver is defending well. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Seehaver manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Seehaver felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Seehaver manages to reverse the position and now he's in St Pierre's guard. Nice work there by Seehaver.
