Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Solis (ranked 1888 p4p, 233 weight class) and Reagan Marley (ranked 3423 p4p, 367 weight class). Marco Solis has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marco Solis!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reagan Marley!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Solis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Marley sneaks out the side door and pushes Solis away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Marley throws a leg kick but Solis checks it.
Solis is looking to counter the offense by Marley and move into the clinch.

We've been hearing reports that Solis has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Marley tries to sprawl but Solis drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Marley told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Solis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Marley is just riding it out for now. Solis eventually gives up the hold.

Solis is looking for a kimura but Marley is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Solis to get the leverage.

Marley throws a shot from downtown. Solis moves away and avoids it.

Solis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Marley pushes Solis off and scrambles back to his feet.

Marley manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reagan Marley dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Solis tries for a takedown but Marley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Solis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marley's waist but Marley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Solis off to one side.
Marley looks to throw the jab but Solis is out of range.
Solis is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Marley.

Solis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Solis tries to counter with a takedown but Marley is quick to defend against it.
Marley tries to bum rush Solis with a series of wild strikes but Solis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Marley swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Solis avoids the head kick by Marley.
Solis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marley tries to clinch but Solis moves out of range.
Marley finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Marley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Marley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Solis looks for the body kick but Marley saw that one coming.
Solis shoots in for a double leg but Marley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Solis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Solis checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Reagan Marley seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Marley fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Solis checks it well.
Marley takes a swing at Solis's ribcage but misses.
Marley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Solis paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Marley tries to score with a low kick but Solis moves his leg out of the way.
Solis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marley as he avoids it easily.
Marley throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Solis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Marley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Solis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Solis showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Solis throws a strike but Marley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Marley is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Marley won't allow Solis to sweep him here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Solis controls Marley momentarily but Marley frees himself.
Solis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Marley's guard.

Solis keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Marley's head.
Solis is looking to work some ground and pound but Marley has wrist control.

Solis has gone for a leg lock! Marley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Solis's guard.

Marley wants to control from the top but Solis keeps moving.
Solis looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Marley puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Solis keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Marley content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reagan Marley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Solis tries to counter with a takedown but Marley is quick to defend against it.
Marley throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Marley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Solis moves away.

Marley moves into range and clinches up with Solis.

Marley has Solis pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Marley pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Solis tumbling to the mat - Marley dives into Solis's guard.
Solis controls Marley momentarily but Marley frees himself.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Solis is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Solis tries to stand but Marley is controlling from the bottom.

Marley wants to stand and escape but Solis is having none of it.

Solis shoots for a double leg takedown but Marley sprawls well. He's pushed Solis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Solis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Marley.
Solis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Solis wants to clinch up but Marley keeps it at a distance.

Marley closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Solis's guard.

Solis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Marley stacks Solis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Marley!
Reagan Marley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Marley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Solis keeps working.

Marley cracks Solis with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Marco Solis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Marley has an Americana. Solis didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Marley is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Marley hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
