Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tobias Orion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Reginald Hsu!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hsu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Orion sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hsu somewhat.
Orion lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hsu backs up against the cage.


It looks like Reginald Hsu has been cut.
Orion lands a body shot.

Orion closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Orion breaks the clinch.
Orion defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hsu.
Orion wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Orion counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Orion.
Tobias Orion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reginald Hsu.
Hsu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Orion gets to his feet. Hsu looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Orion counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Hsu throws a combination that misses
and Orion counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Orion looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hsu looks winded!
Hsu misses with a jab to the body

and Orion counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Orion stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Tobias Orion is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Orion throws a right and a left that Hsu avoids nicely.
Hsu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Orion as he avoids it easily.
Orion half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Reginald Hsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hsu throws a predictable looking body shot

and Orion counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Orion gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Orion drops Hsu with a beautiful combination! Hsu stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Orion is looking for the KO!


Hsu is rocked!

Orion gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Hsu is still on wobbly legs! Can Orion finish him?

Orion breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hsu seems to have recovered his senses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hsu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Orion counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Orion rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hsu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And Hsu tries to counter it with a takedown but Orion pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Hsu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Orion counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Orion content to stall in guard here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hsu is on top in guard.

Hsu wants to control from the top but Orion keeps moving.
Hsu pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Orion is keeping the position for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Orion preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Orion is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Hsu has Orion pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Orion manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Hsu is looking for a takedown.
Orion misses with a hook to the ribs.

Orion breaks from the clinch.
Hsu throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Orion counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Hsu is working an open guard so Orion takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hsu or perhaps it was just good defense by Orion, which made it look bad.
Orion attempts a counter takedown but Hsu avoids it well and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Orion lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Orion dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

That has opened up Reginald Hsu's cut even more.
Orion with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Orion is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Orion shuts the power down on Hsu. Lights out, game over! Orion is your winner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tobias Orion!
After winning the bout, Tobias Orion thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
