Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Jamal Gazimagomedov (ranked 2988 p4p, 341 weight class) and Shaopang Narpowang (ranked 5470 p4p, 483 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gazimagomedov scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.


It looks like Shaopang Narpowang has been cut.
Narpowang throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gazimagomedov tries to clinch up but Narpowang circles away and keeps his distance.
Narpowang keeps the fight on the outside.
A punch combination from Gazimagomedov misses.

Narpowang clinches up with Gazimagomedov and pushes him back against the ropes.
Narpowang is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Gazimagomedov is keeping busy.
Narpowang lands a body punch in the clinch.
Gazimagomedov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Narpowang keeps control of Gazimagomedov as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Gazimagomedov is trying to maintain a safe position but Narpowang gets an underhook and turns Gazimagomedov into the ropes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gazimagomedov misses with a knee to the head.
Gazimagomedov swings wildly with an uppercut but Narpowang uses good head movement to avoid it.
Narpowang avoids the elbow strike from Gazimagomedov, against the ropes.
Narpowang tries to circle away but Gazimagomedov has him pinned against the ropes.
Narpowang tries to break the clinch but Gazimagomedov is controlling the position.

Gazimagomedov throws a punch but it's blocked by Narpowang.

Gazimagomedov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Narpowang moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Narpowang closes the distance and pushes Gazimagomedov back into the ropes.
Gazimagomedov is looking to control Narpowang's arms but Narpowang gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gazimagomedov has his back to the ropes.
Gazimagomedov avoids the elbow strike from Narpowang, against the ropes.
Gazimagomedov on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Narpowang tries to land knees in the clinch but Gazimagomedov avoids the damage to the body.
Narpowang tries to land a knee to the head but Gazimagomedov blocks with his arms.
Gazimagomedov trying to control the position but instead, Narpowang has worked for underhooks and has pushed Gazimagomedov into the ropes.
Gazimagomedov misses with a short punch on the inside.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Narpowang looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jamal Gazimagomedov will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Shaopang Narpowang's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Narpowang has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gazimagomedov keeps control of Narpowang as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Gazimagomedov wants to get back to striking at distance but Narpowang won't allow it.

Narpowang escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gazimagomedov connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Narpowang out cold! This one is over in a flash!
