Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raistlin Majere (ranked 6947 p4p, 530 weight class) and James Hackett (ranked 3744 p4p, 400 weight class). James Hackett will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raistlin Majere! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Hackett! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Majere throws a leg kick but Hackett checks it. Majere uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hackett. Majere throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Hackett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Majere has his takedown stuffed and Hackett counters with a stiff right hand. Hackett blocks a head kick by Majere.
Majere shoots in looking for a takedown. Hackett tries to sprawl out of it but Majere keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hackett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hackett unleashes a big counter combination but Majere bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Majere looks to throw a body kick letting Hackett counter with a right hand.
It looks like Raistlin Majere has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Majere shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Majere was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A bit of a lull in the action here. Hackett struggling a bit here. Hackett tries to buck Majere off but Majere is having none of it.

Hackett stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Hackett wants to control but Majere postures up. Hackett is looking to regain half guard here but Majere keeps moving and retains side control. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hackett is not content to let Majere control the position. Majere working away. Hackett is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Majere is staying active. Majere wants to take a breather but Hackett manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Majere. Hackett is pulling down on Majere's head to control his posture. Our spies down at at Team Alpha Midget inform us that Hackett has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Majere forces his way into half guard. Majere wants to pass to mount but Hackett is defending the position. Majere is looking for a kimura but Hackett is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Majere to get the leverage. Hackett tries to roll over but Majere keeps him under control. Hackett wants to control but Majere is keeping busy.

Hackett is adopting a defensive guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but James Hackett will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Raistlin Majere's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Majere throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. It seemed like Hackett was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Majere throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hackett tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Majere is in Hackett's guard. Majere trying to control but Hackett is working from the bottom. Hackett seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Hackett is continuing to stall. That's one minute gone in the round. Hackett has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The adventures of Hackett the control monster continue. Boring. Majere sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Majere ducks under a wild hook from Hackett. Majere gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hackett counters with a lovely straight right hand! James Hackett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A combination from Majere does no damage. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hackett checks a leg kick. Hackett doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. A low kick from Majere misses and Hackett counters with a lovely straight right hand! Raistlin Majere seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Majere fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hackett sprawls well initially but Majere persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hackett has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Majere is working away from the top position though. Majere wants to pass to mount but Hackett is defending the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Majere is trying to control the action in half guard but Hackett is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hackett is holding on for now. Majere is trying to control. Hackett wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hackett has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Majere is working away from the top position though.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Majere tries for a takedown but Hackett circles away easily and Hackett counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A low kick from Majere is predictable there and Hackett counters with a nice right hand that sends Majere toppling to the canvas! Majere scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Hackett finish him?!
Majere is rocked! Majere doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hackett counters by moving into the clinch. Oh Majere is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raistlin Majere. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hackett pushes Majere against the cage. Hackett is working some dirty boxing. Hackett pushes off with a quick right hook! Majere goes down! Majere tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Hackett moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
