Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between sergio liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). liddell comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - Intro. Melo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Who let the dogs out kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! sergio liddell is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
liddell throws a right and a left that Melo avoids nicely.
liddell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Melo circles away quickly and effectively.
Melo tries for a takedown but liddell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Melo has a takedown stuffed.
liddell thuds his shin into the meat of Melo's side.

Melo shoots in looking for a takedown. liddell tries to sprawl out of it but Melo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. liddell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and liddell counters with a three punch combo that has Melo backing up. Melo nods at liddell to acknowledge the strikes.
liddell throws a series of punches but Melo avoids them all with ease.

Melo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

liddell's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

liddell closes the distance and pushes Melo back into the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
liddell has had enough of the clinch but Melo keeps him there for the moment.
