Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jark Reepal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rick Polansk! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reepal instigates a clinch. Reepal wants to break the clinch but can't.

Polansk is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Reepal is trying to break free. Polansk tries for a takedown but Reepal manages to get underhooks.
Reepal is pressed up against the cage. Polansk has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Reepal down to the mat. Reepal avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jark Reepal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Polansk. Polansk closes the distance but Reepal moves to the side and Reepal counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Reepal. Polansk keeps control of Reepal as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Reepal wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Polansk has him pressed against the cage. Polansk wants a takedown but no success here.
Polansk is trying to drag Reepal to the mat but Reepal just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Reepal escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reepal throws a push kick but Polansk slaps the foot to one side. Polansk fails with the takedown and Reepal counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Polansk is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Reepal wants to break the clinch but can't.

Polansk tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Reepal just stands there and leans against the cage. Polansk is working for takedown but Reepal is calmly controlling the position for now. Polansk looks gassed! A bit of stalling here from Reepal.
Polansk changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Reepal fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Polansk with a poor takedown and Reepal counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Reepal lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Rick Polansk has been cut. Reepal lands a left and a right that sends Polansk crashing to the canvas! Reepal dives into mount looking to finish!
Polansk is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reepal postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Polansk looks a forlorn figure.
Polansk is still in real trouble! Can Reepal finish him? Reepal sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Reepal looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Polansk seems to have recovered his senses. Reepal controlling from mount. Polansk is squirming around, avoiding Reepal's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Polansk swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Reepal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Polansk on the ground. Polansk throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Reepal trying to control but Polansk is having none of it. Polansk has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Reepal controlling from the full mount.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jark Reepal just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Reepal lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Reepal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Polansk misses with a takedown attempt and Reepal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Reepal scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Reepal clinches up against the cage. Reepal is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Polansk walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Polansk avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Reepal closes the distance and lands a one-two.
That has opened up Rick Polansk's cut even more. Polansk is trying desperately to land a takedown but Reepal is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Polansk. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reepal connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Polansk tumbling to the canvas! Reepal pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Polansk was done - good stoppage!
