The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karaage throws a head kick but Haney moves out of range.
Haney drops down looking for a counter takedown but Karaage sprawls and moves away.
Karaage keeps Haney at a distance using the push kick.
Haney pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Karaage connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Haney throws a series of punches but Karaage avoids them all with ease.
Karaage misses with a two punch combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Haney looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Karaage takes one on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Haney fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Karaage manages to avoid it.
Haney avoids the head kick by Karaage.
Haney tries to keep at a distance but Karaage has taken the fight into the clinch.
Karaage's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Karaage pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Haney goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Purple Karaage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Haney fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Haney avoids a punch combination nicely.
Haney fails with the takedown.
Haney misses with the combination.
Karaage misses with a wild combination.
Haney quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Karaage tries a head kick but it misses.
Karaage fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Haney, pushing him back against the cage.

Haney is trying to maintain a safe position but Karaage gets an underhook and turns Haney into the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Haney just misses with a elbow thrown towards Karaage's brow.
Haney tries to stall but Karaage uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Haney is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Karaage is keeping busy.
Karaage breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Haney misses with a double jab.
Haney fails with the takedown
and Karaage counters with a left and a right that stings Haney.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Karaage connects with a nice looking jab.
Haney tests Karaage's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A thudding body kick lands there by Karaage!
Haney is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Karaage connects with a leg kick. Haney looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Karaage scores with a one two! Haney had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Dwain Haney has been cut.
Karaage cracks a nice hook into Haney's ribs.
Haney moves in looking to clinch but Karaage pushes him off.
Karaage moves into the clinch.
Karaage breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Haney walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Karaage has taken the fight to the clinch.
Karaage letting Haney take a breather here.
Karaage escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Karaage lands a big right hook! Haney looks hurt but is still standing! Karaage lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Haney falls down and Karaage dives in with a huge hammer fist! Haney's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Karaage runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Purple Karaage!
