Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luther Broad (ranked 2696 p4p, 315 weight class) and Kenneth Smith (ranked 2592 p4p, 306 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Kenneth Smith enters the cage!

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broad tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
Broad scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Smith doesn't seem bothered though.

Luther Broad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Broad throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Smith counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Broad has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Luther Broad will probably get the nod.

Broad working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Broad does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Luther Broad.
